AAF Stickell Internship Awarded to Ithaca College Student Taylor Flynn

2014 May 13

The American Advertising Federation (AAF) has awarded Ithaca College sophomore Taylor Flynn a 2014 AAF Stickell Internship with Whole Kids Foundation in Austin, Texas. Flynn earned the internship through her outstanding commitment to the Ithaca College student chapter of AAF.

Flynn, an integrated marketing communications major in the Roy H. Park School of Communications, has been involved both on and off campus during her time at Ithaca College. Flynn serves as a peer tutor, puppy sitter for Guiding Eyes for the Blind and student supervisor at Tower's Dining Hall. Flynn previously volunteered for Parakeet Feet, Society of the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals Mall Annex and the Friendship Donation Network.

Flynn has been named to the Dean's List twice and inducted to Ithaca College's Oracle Honor Society.

The Vance L. Stickell Memorial Student Internship Program was established in 1989 in honor of Vance L. Stickell (1925-1987), former executive vice president, marketing, for the Los Angeles Times and a member of the Advertising Hall of Fame. The program is intended to raise the awareness and understanding of advertising processes and business ethics among future advertising professionals.
