Adam Zelehowsky Wins Best Poster at Yale Plant Biology Conference

Ithaca College student Adam Zelehowsky won the Best Undergraduate Poster Award at the annual plant biology conference held at Yale University in New Haven, Connecticut.

Zelehowsky's poster displayed research focused on the impacts of an introduced species on coastal plant habitats on the beaches of the Puerto Rican islands.

Zelehowsky conducted research with Professors Melcher and Susan Witherup. The findings of the study show that the introduced species has a high potential to outcompete the native species.
