Alexis White Receives Scholarship from New York Women in Communications

Ithaca College student Alexis White was one of 20 students awarded scholarships by the New York Women in Communications Inc. (NYWICI) Foundation. White received the Alumna of Excellence Scholarship at the annual Matrix Awards in New York City on April 23.

NYWICI scholarships, which reflect academic excellence, financial need and a demonstrated commitment to the field of communications, are given each year to female students at the high school, undergraduate and graduate levels who are committed to pursuing careers in communications.

Before attending the Matrix Awards, the students appeared live on NBC's "Today."

White had the opportunity to tell “Today” co-host Savannah Guthrie that the support of NYWICI has helped to propel her career forward.
