Carin Pracht Earns Statewide Community Service Award

The Commission on Independent Colleges and Universities (cIcu) awarded Carin Pracht, a recent graduate from the School of Health Sciences and Human Performance at Ithaca College, the 2015 Independent Sector Student Community Service Award for her exceptional leadership in community service.

Pracht is one of 10 New York Tuition Assistance Program (TAP) recipients from independent private, not-for-profit colleges and universities to be recognized for leadership in community service. She also received a $500 scholarship from the H.D. Paley Scholarship Fund.

Pracht received her award in Albany on March 2 at an awards reception.

cIcu is a statewide association representing the public policy interests of the chief executives of more than 100 independent colleges and universities in New York State. Its mission is to develop consensus among a diverse membership and to advance higher education public policy.
