Corey Seapy Receives Honorable Mention in the American Prize in Conducting Competition

Corey Seapy '14, a recent graduate of the School of Music at Ithaca College, recently received honorable mention in the American Prize in Conducting--band/wind ensemble division competition.

While at Ithaca College, Seapy earned a Master of Music in conducting. In addition, Seapy worked as a graduate assistant with groups including the Ithaca College Wind Ensemble, Concert Band, Symphonic Band, Campus Band and Cornell University Wind Ensemble.

The American Prize in Conducting competition recognizes and rewards the best orchestral, choral, band/wind ensemble, opera and musical theater conductors in the United States each year, based on submitted applications. The American Prize has been recognizing the best in the performing arts in the United States since it was founded in 2009.
