East Aurora Native Sean Phillips Named Empire 8 Men's Cross Country Runner of the Week

Sean Phillips of East Aurora was named Empire 8 Men's Cross Country Runner of the Week for the second consecutive week Monday.

He led the Bombers as Ithaca ran to a fourth-place finish out of 13 teams Saturday at the Hamilton Invitational hosted at the Hamilton College Golf Course. On the eight-kilometer course, Phillips clocked a 26:53.30 finish to place third overall in a field of 148 runners.

The Bombers rest from competition for a week before traveling across town to Cornell's Reif Invitational on Friday, Oct. 25 and returning to Hamilton for the NYSCTC Championship on Saturday, Oct. 26.
