Eliza Diament Makes Winning Pitch in Ithaca College Business Plan Competition

2015 May 20

Eliza Diament, a senior business administration major in the School of Business at Ithaca College, took second place and a $10,000 cash prize with team member Katherine Fischer '17 for OnSet.

An integrated movie theatre experience, the mobile app recognizes movie trailers and allows viewers to access information about the trailer, tag it as a favorite and share it on social media. OnSet also earned the audience choice award and an additional $500 cash prize.

"We had a broad mix of participants in a broad mix of businesses, which made it very interesting for the audience and judges," said Brad Treat, instructor in the School of Business and competition coordinator. "Every one of these companies is ready to launch. We look forward to following their future success."

The Business Plan Competition is supported by alumnus Chris Burch '76, chairman of J. Christopher Capital and co-founder of the Tory Burch women's fashion label. It is open to all Ithaca College students.
