Ithaca College Sophomore Awarded Scholarship by SHAPE America

Lena Sargenti, a sophomore Health and Physical Education major in Ithaca College's School of Health Sciences and Human Performance, was awarded a Ruth Abernathy Presidential Scholarship awarded by the Society of Health and Physical Educators (SHAPE America).

The Ruth Abernathy Presidential Scholarship was established in 1995 to honor three outstanding undergraduate and two graduate students in the field of health, physical education, recreation or dance each year. The scholarships will be presented at the SHAPE America National Convention in spring 2016.
