Ithaca College Student Earns NWCA Scholar All-American Honor

Ithaca College student Jacob O'Brien of Framingham earned Scholar All-American honors from the National Wrestling Coaches Association.

To qualify as a NWCA Scholar All-American, wrestlers must have at least a 3.2 GPA and either be a national qualifier with a winning record, a regional place-winner with a winning record, or have a season winning percentage of 67 percent or better.

O'Brien credited his grades to his time management skills.

"It feels good to be named a NWCA Scholar All-American," said O'Brien. "It reaffirms that I'm doing something right both on and off the mat, and I hope to continue on that path for the remainder of my career."
