John Shumway Named USILA/BSN Division III North Offensive Player of the Week

John Shumway, a Business Administration major and a senior lacrosse playerat Ithaca College, was named the USILA/BSN Division III North Offensive Player of the Week on March 10. This award followed his earning of Offensive Player of the Week from the Empire 8 Conference just days earlier.

Shumway fired home six first-half goals in IC's 19-2 rout of Lycoming in the season opener, and the senior attacker followed that by scoring five goals and registering the assist on the eventual game-winner in Ithaca's 14-9 victory over No. 12 RPI.

Shumway also notched eight points on seven goals and one assist in Ithaca's 17-6 road victory at Oswego State on March 8. The huge scoring effort moved him into eighth place on the program's all-time goal scoring list with 116 career tallies.
