Katelyn Gualtieri Awarded New York Women in Communication Scholarship

Katelyn Gualtieri, a communication management and design major in the Roy H. Park School of Communications at Ithaca College, has been selected as a New York Women in Communication scholarship recipient.

The highly competitive scholarship is awarded on the basis of academic excellence, need and a demonstrated commitment to the field of communications. Qualified students must be U.S. citizens who are permanent residents of N.Y., N.J., Conn. or Pa., and major in communications-related field at an accredited college or university with a GPA of 3.2 or higher.

Gualtieri will be joined by the other scholarship recipients on Monday, April 28, for the Matrix Awards in New York City at the Waldorf Astoria' s Grand Ballroom. This year's Matrix Awards will be hosted by Kathie Lee Gifford and Hoda Kotb and include a presentation honoring seven "Women Who Change the World." Scholarship recipients will also have the opportunity to make an appearance on the TODAY Show the morning of the awards.

New York Women in Communications, Inc. is a not-for-profit association founded in 1929.
