Kelli Kyle Inducted into National History Honor Society

Kelli Kyle, a sophomore journalism major in the Roy H. Park School of Communications at Ithaca College, was recently inducted into Phi Alpha Theta, the National History Honor Society. The induction ceremony was held on Monday, February 23, 2015. During this year's ceremony nine new members were added to the chapter membership.

History majors who have achieved a grade point average of 3.5 or above by their junior or senior year are invited to join Phi Alpha Theta. History minors who achieve a 3.5 grade point average by their senior year are also eligible. Students must have completed at least twelve hours in history and have an average grade point average of 3.3 or higher in all departmental courses. Additionally, students must have a "B" average for their non-history course work.

Phi Alpha Theta seeks to promote the study of history through the encouragement of research, good teaching, publication and the exchange of ideas among historians. The society has over 350,000 members across 860 chapters in the U.S.
