Kellie Hodson Builds Houses in North Carolina

2015 Feb 17

During winter break, Kellie Hodson, a film, photography, video and visual Arts major in the Roy H. Park School of Communications at Ithaca College and member of IC Habitat for Humanity, traveled to Charlotte, N.C. to build and refurbish homes. Hodson worked with 13 other students on three different homes over the course of six days.

Hodson first worked on refurbishing a house by helping paint the entire interior of the home. Then, she helped put up the walls of a second house.

Hodson created a video in honor of the 2015 IC Habitat for Humanity trip. The video can been watched here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=sHZCxeDP40M.

IC Habitat for Humanity is a college chapter of the international Habitat for Humanity organization, which builds and repairs houses using volunteer labor and donations. Students in the Ithaca College chapter participate in service trips every year during winter and spring break.
