Kevin Doubleday Builds Houses in North Carolina

During winter break, Kevin Doubleday, a communication, management and design major in the Roy H. Park School of Communications at Ithaca College and member of IC Habitat for Humanity, traveled to Charlotte, N.C. to build and refurbish homes. Doubleday worked with 13 other students on three different homes over the course of six days.

Doubleday first worked on refurbishing a house by helping paint the entire interior of the home. Then, he helped put up the walls of a second house.

IC Habitat for Humanity is a college chapter of the international Habitat for Humanity organization, which builds and repairs houses using volunteer labor and donations. Students in the Ithaca College chapter participate in service trips every year during winter and spring break.
