Lisa Famularo Earns Microsoft Office Specialist Certification

Lisa Famularo, a junior business administration major in the School of Business at Ithaca College, earned a Microsoft Office Specialist certification for Office Excel 2013.

"I appreciate the opportunity to become Microsoft Excel certified because employers are looking for students who have a good grasp on business analytics and can use the associated software," said Famularo. "I have already been able to use what I learned in preparing for the exam in multiple class assignments and projects for work. Knowing how to navigate Excel is a very useful skill, and I know it will continue to come in handy in the future."

According to Microsoft, a Microsoft Certification validates your expertise in a Microsoft Technology. As a Microsoft Certified Professional, they'll have access to community resources and tools that allow them to exchange ideas with peers, increase knowledge and skills, and broaden career opportunities.
