Max Denning Wins Reporting Award from Society of Professional Journalists

Ithaca College student and The Ithacan Staff Writer Max Denning was awarded the First Place National Mark of Excellence Award for General News Reporting for 2015 by the Society of Professional Journalists. Denning received the award for his story "This Shouldn't Happen Here."

Denning's article was featured in the September 3, 2015 issue of campus newspaper, "The Ithacan." His award was announced at the SPJ National Convention, which was held Sept. 18-20 in New Orleans. Denning competed against students from around the country, after he first won the regional SPJ award for the Northeast region.
