Mirelle Tinker Receives Scholarship from New York Women in Communications

Ithaca College student Mirelle Tinker was one of 20 students awarded scholarships by the New York Women in Communications Inc. (NYWICI) Foundation. Tinker received the Carlozzi Family Scholarship at the annual Matrix Awards in New York City on April 23.

NYWICI scholarships, which reflect academic excellence, financial need and a demonstrated commitment to the field of communications, are given each year to female students at the high school, undergraduate and graduate levels who are committed to pursuing careers in communications.

Before attending the Matrix Awards, the students appeared live on NBC's "Today."
