2015 Apr 27

Natasha Brower, a junior communication, management and design major in the Roy H. Park School of Communications at Ithaca College, was named a winner in the oral presentation category of the 18th annual James J. Whalen Academic Symposium. The annual symposium held at Ithaca College highlights original research and creative works done by Ithaca College students in collaboration with faculty sponsors.

Brower won for her presentation "Culture Core: Microagressions in the Workplace".

The James J. Whalen Academic Symposium provides students with the opportunity to give oral and poster presentations on their senior and honors thesis projects and independent research, and to show their original creative work in the arts, including writing, music, theater and film.

Presentations are scored by a panel of judges on purpose/rationale, techniques and methods, conclusions, relevance, originality and visual appearance.
