Ni Zhang Performs at Americas Society on Tour with Ithaca College Contemporary Ensemble

Ni Zhang performed at Americas Society while on tour with the Ithaca College Contemporary Ensemble. The performance took place Monday, April 14, in New York City. Zhang is a graduate performance major in the School of Music at Ithaca College.

Comprised of both faculty and students, the Ithaca College Contemporary Ensemble focuses on music of our time as well as classics of the 20th century. Currently under the direction of Jorge Grossmann and Jeffery Meyer, ICCE provides a uniquely formative and intense performance experience for IC students. The ensemble performs two concerts a year; its programs also include music by Ithaca College composition faculty and students, alumni, and guest composers.

The 2013-14 Contemporary Ensemble season focuses on Latin American Music and features chamber works by Karel Husa Visiting Professors of Composition Carlos Sanchez-Gutierrez and Ricardo Zohn-Muldoon.
