Samantha Guter Awarded for Contributions to Ithaca College Campus

Samantha Guter has been honored with a Campus Life Award, recognizing her contributions to the Ithaca College community through participation and involvement in campus life.

A member of the Class of 2016, Guter received her award at a ceremony on May 21, the evening prior to Commencement. In her time at Ithaca College, she served as a resident assistant, teaching assistant, and manager in Campus Center and Event Services, in addition to writing for The Ithacan and Buzzsaw, two student publications. Guter was also involved in a number of theatre groups and directed performances of the "Rocky Horror Picture Show" and Vagina Monologues" during her senior year.

"I am so incredibly humbled and honored to be getting this award because I feel like our class in particular is so active, so involved, and so passionate about everything that this college represents," said Guter.

Campus Life Award winners are nominated by faculty, staff or students. Eligible students must have been extensively involved in a number of areas of campus life and demonstrated significant leadership abilities and accomplishments.
