Vicki Weber Volunteers Occupational Therapy Services to Special Needs Individuals

Vicki Weber, an occupational therapy graduate student at Ithaca College, organized and participated in activities with residents at the Franzizka Racker Center to enhance her experience in the occupational therapy field.

Weber played games, attended dances, sang karaoke and made crafts with residents who suffer from neurological impairments. Residents were enthusiastic and appreciative of Weber's efforts.

The Ithaca College occupational sciences/occupational therapy B.S./M.S. is a five-year program focused on developing the skills to help people cope with physical, developmental, emotional and cognitive disabilities. The program provides students with both hands on and academic experience to prepare for the national certification exam and a career as an occupational therapist.
