Ithaca College Student Group Sends Books to Prisoners, Raises Awareness of Incarceration Issues

IC Books Thru Bars collects books and sends them free-of-charge to prisoners upon request. Since its conception at Ithaca College in Dec. 2013, Books Thru Bars has distributed nearly 450 books to prisoners across the country.

Junior Athletic Training Major Appointed to National Leadership Committee

Katelyn Dolan, a junior athletic training major at Ithaca College, was recently appointed by the director of District 2 of the National Athletic Trainers' Association to be their representative to the NATA Student Leadership Committee.

New York Press Association Names Ithacan Best College Newspaper in NY

Ithaca College's student-run newspaper, The Ithacan, has been named the Best College Newspaper in New York State for 2016 by the New York Press Association. The award, the NYPA's top collegiate honor, was announced April 8 at the organization's annual convention at the Gideon Putnam Hotel in Saratoga Springs, N.Y.

Ithaca College Students Win First and Fifth Place Associated Collegiate Press Awards

Fourteen Ithaca College student staff members of The Ithacan won first place in Best of Show for its website and fifth place Best of Show for its print edition at the Associated Collegiate Press convention.
