"IC on Broadway: South Hill State of Mind"

Ithaca College alumni stars of the stage will join with some 50 current students from the Ithaca College School of Music, Theatre, and Dance on Friday, November 11, for a historic performance in the appropriately named Broadway Ballroom at the Marriott Marquis in New York City's Time Square. Titled "IC on Broadway: South Hill State of Mind," the 8 p.m. show will feature vocalists, monologues, solo guitar and jazz band performances, as well as a music and dance composition collaboration. Tickets for "IC on Broadway: South Hill State of Mind," as well as other IC in the City events, can be purchased here.

Ithaca College Student Named Newman Civic Fellow

For her dedication to the Ithaca College community and commitment to advocacy work, Yetunde Smalls '21 has been named a 2020 Newman Civic Fellow by Campus Compact. Campus Compact is a national organization committed to advancing community service in higher education. Through the Newman Civic Fellowship, students are provided with training and resources to help them develop strategies for social change.

Maria Bushby Earns National Recognition for Helping Homeless

In recognition of her work addressing housing insecurity and homelessness, Ithaca College student Maria Bushy '20 has been named a 2019 Newman Civic Fellow by Campus Compact, a national organization committed to advancing community service in higher education. The sociology major was one of 262 college students selected for a fellowship.

Ithaca College Student Awarded Killam Fellowship

Ithaca College student Stephanie Mooney '21 has been selected for a Killam Fellowship by Fulbright Canada. Mooney will spend the spring 2020 semester studying at Queens University in Kingston, Ontario. The Killam Fellowship Program allows undergraduate students from Canada and the United States to participate in a program of binational residential exchange. Fellows receive a cash award of $5,000 per semester. Fellowships are available to students from only 15 partner institutions in the U.S., including Ithaca College, Smith College, Vanderbilt University and Wellesley College.

Danielle Pluchinsky Awarded NYWICI Scholarship

Ithaca College sophomore Danielle Pluchinsky was one of 14 young women awarded a scholarship from New York Women in Communications. A sports media student in the college's Roy H. Park School of Communications, Pluchinsky received the Ann Liguori Foundation Sports Media Scholarship.

Ithaca College is welcoming its second cohort of scholars in the BOLD Women's Leadership Network, a pioneering program cultivating courageous leadership and career success in young women during the college years and beyond. The college's newest BOLD scholars are Calissa Brown, Diana Castillo, Audrianna Evelyn, Ashae Forsythe, Kelly Madden, Clare Nowalk and Breana Nieves Vergara.

Ithaca College Ad Lab Team Wins National Student Advertising Competition

A group of students from Ithaca College won the American Advertising Federation's National Student Advertising Competition on Friday, June 7, in Hollywood, Florida. The team competed against seven other schools, with Liberty University coming in second and Syracuse University finishing third. The students are all participants in the college's Ad Lab, a senior capstone campaigns course in the Integrated Marketing Communications (IMC) major, housed within the Roy H. Park School of Communications.
